Abd al Razzaq Lahiji (1072 AH) and John Locke (1632-1704) are among the philosophers who have investigated the subject of knowledge and the level of human knowledge. Lahiji believes in an Islamic philosophical theory called “phantasm of representative”. In his book, Shavaregh al-Elham, he states that we, in our knowledge of objects, do not achieve their essence and reality, but achieve a phantasm that represents the object. Locke, too, in his book, An Essay Concerning Human Understanding, distinguishes between two different types of essence, that is the real essence and the nominal essence of objects, and contends that our knowledge of objects is limited to their nominal essence. The similarity between Lahiji and Locke’s philosophy is that they both believe that the power of human is too limited to achieve the reality and the essence of objects, but they differ in their views on the quiddity of knowledge and perception.}, keywords = {John Locke,Abd al-Razzaq Lahiji,Nominal essence,Phantasm of representative,Shabah-e Mohaki,Epistemology}, title_fa = {علم انسان به اشیاء خارجی از دیدگاه جان لاک و محقق لاهیجی}, abstract_fa = {مسألۀ شناخت و میزان معرفت انسان به اشیاء از مسائل مهم تاریخ تفکر و فلسفه است. از جـمله فلاسفهای که به مبحث شناخت و میزان معرفت بشر پرداختهاند، حکیم ملاعبدالرزاق لاهیجی (م 1072 ه.ق) و جان لاک (1704-1632 م) هستند. محقق لاهیجی معتقد به نظریهای است که در فلسفۀ اسلامی از آن به «شبح محاکی» یاد میکنند. وی در کتاب شوارق الإلهام بیان میکند که ما در هنگام علم به اشیـاء به ذات و حقیـقت آنها دست نمییابیم؛ بلکه به شبـحی که از شیء خارجـی حکایـت میکند، نائل میشویم. جان لاک نیز در اثر ارزشمند خویش، جستار در فهم بشر، دو معنای متفاوت ذات را از هم باز میشناسد و میان ذات واقعی و ذات اسمی اشیاء تمایز قائل شده و علم ما به اشیاء را در حدود ذات اسمی آنها می داند. شباهت نظر لاهیجی و لاک از این حیث است که هر دو توان بشر را محدودتر از آن میدانند که به حقیقت و ذات اشیاء دست یابد؛ اما در مورد ماهیت علم و ادراک با یکدیگر اختلاف دارند.}, keywords_fa = {John Locke,Abd al-Razzaq Lahiji,Nominal essence,Phantasm of representative,Shabah-e Mohaki,Epistemology}, url = {https://jop.ut.ac.ir/article_74455.html}, eprint = {https://jop.ut.ac.ir/article_74455_694def43989a29795689dbbbadc1b68c.pdf} }
