COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) This journal, respecting the ethics of publications, adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the executive bylaw of the Law on the Prevention and Combating of Fraud in Scientific Works.

Informed Consent of Research Participants In the Journal of Philosophy, all participants in studies involving human subjects have the right to privacy, and researchers must not violate this right without informed consent. Identifying information of participants, such as names, etc., must not be published in written form, photographs, or genealogies unless this information is essential for scientific purposes and the participants (or their parents/guardians) have provided written informed consent for publication. Participant consent forms must be documented and archived in accordance with national regulations or local laws, either at the journal office, the researcher's workplace, or both.

Adherence to Ethical Principles and Informed Consent Adherence to medical ethics, anonymity, and patient confidentiality are among the principles that must be considered. In this regard, the code for the protection of human subjects, derived from the Helsinki Declaration, must be observed, and it is necessary to attach the approval of the university's ethics committee to the submitted article. In cases where the study has been conducted on humans, an informed consent form must have been obtained from adult individuals and from the parents or legal guardians of minor subjects.

Data Citation and Sharing Policy Data should be cited in the same manner as articles, books, and websites, and authors should include the citation to the data as part of the reference list. Citing data is appropriate for data stored in institutional, subject-based, or general repositories. When citing data or claims based on data, authors must reference the data in the relevant place in the article text and, in addition, provide a formal citation in the reference list. This journal follows the recommended format in the Joint Declaration of Data Citation Principles:

Authors; Year; Dataset title; Data Repository or Archive; Version (if any); Persistent Identifier (e.g., DOI).

The Journal of Philosophy employs a data sharing policy. This journal is committed to a broader research vision that facilitates faster and more effective research discovery by enabling the reproducibility and verification of data, methodology, and reporting standards. This journal encourages authors to cite and share their research data, including but not limited to: raw data, processed data, software data, algorithms, protocols, methods, and materials. Authors are encouraged to share or make openly available data that support the findings or analyses presented in their article, provided this does not violate the protection of human subjects or other valid privacy or security concerns.

This journal encourages authors to share data and other artifacts that support the findings in their article by archiving them in a suitable public repository or data trust. Authors should have a data availability statement, including the address or hyperlink to the repository they have used, so that this statement can be published alongside their article. This journal requires authors of original research articles and secondary articles to (1) deposit the de-identified data related to the article in a repository, and (2) include a data availability statement in their article on how the data can be accessed.

This journal defines data as the underlying digital materials supporting the results described in the article, including spreadsheets, text files, recorded interviews or transcripts, images, videos, statistical software output, computer codes, and scripts, and expects authors to deposit at least the minimum data required to reproduce the results described in the article. Data can be placed in any repository that makes data publicly available, including institutional repositories, public repositories (such as Figshare, Open Science Framework, Zenodo, Dryad, Harvard Dataverse, OpenICPSR), or subject-specific repositories. The data availability statement should be placed at the end of the main text, before the references. This statement should include (1) an indicator of the location of the data; (2) a unique identifier, such as a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), accession number, or Uniform Resource Locator (URL); and (3) any instructions for accessing the data, if applicable. At the submission stage, you will be asked whether there is a dataset associated with the article. If your answer is yes, you will be asked to provide a pre-registered DOI, link, or other permanent identifiers associated with the dataset(s). If you have chosen to provide a pre-registered DOI, please be prepared to share the reviewer URL associated with your data deposition upon request from reviewers. Where one or more datasets are associated with an article, these are not formally peer-reviewed as part of the article submission process to the journal. It is the author's responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the data. Any errors in the data are solely the responsibility of the producers of the dataset(s).

Note: Since you are submitting your manuscript to this journal, where submissions are double-blind reviewed, the main text file should not contain information that could identify the authors (e.g., author name, institutional affiliation, conflict of interest, and email address information). Since the data availability statement can reveal your identity, we recommend that you remove this from the anonymized version of your article. In rare cases where de-identified data cannot be shared due to its proprietary nature or concerns about participant privacy, exceptions to this policy are granted. For reasons related to human privacy, biosafety issues, and/or respect for the terms of use for data obtained under license from third parties, exceptions to the policy and limitations on data access are granted. Confidential data, for example, data on human individuals or patients, must always be anonymized, or permission for sharing must have been previously obtained. If in doubt, authors should consult their institution/university's ethics committee. Authors should have a data availability statement, including a link to the repository they have used, so that this statement can be published alongside their article. Below are a few examples.

Data Availability Statement Examples:

Data associated with this article are available on the Open Science Framework. Data supporting the findings of this study are openly available in [Repository Name] at http://doi.org/[doi], reference number [reference number]. Data supporting the findings of this study are openly available in [Repository Name] at [URL], reference number [reference number]. Data supporting the findings of this study are available. Declaration on the Use of Generative AI and AI-based Technologies in the Writing Process In cases where authors use generative artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-based technologies in the writing process, they should only use these technologies to improve readability and language. The use of AI technology must be accompanied by human oversight and control. Authors must carefully review and edit the results, as AI can produce seemingly valid outputs that can be incorrect, incomplete, or biased. AI and AI-based technologies should not be listed as an author or co-author. Authorship entails tasks and responsibilities that are exclusively assigned to and performed by humans. Authors must disclose their use of AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process by following the provided guidelines. A statement confirming this use will appear in the article published in the journal. It is essential to know that authors are ultimately responsible and accountable for the content of their article.

Guidelines for Disclosing the Use of AI: Authors must disclose the use of generative AI and AI-based technologies in the writing process in the final version of their article by adding a statement at the end of their manuscript in the main file, before the reference list. This statement should be placed in a new section titled "Declaration on the Use of Generative AI and AI-based Technologies in the Writing Process."

Declaration: During the preparation of this work, the author(s) used [Name of tool/service] in order to [reason]. After using this tool/service, the authors reviewed and edited the content as needed and take full responsibility for the content of the publication. This declaration does not apply to the use of basic tools for checking grammar, spelling, references, etc. If there is nothing to disclose, there is no need to add a declaration.

Privacy The names and email addresses entered on the journal's website will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

Advertising Policy The Journal of Philosophy has strict policies regarding scientific and academic integrity and independence. For this reason, the journal does not accept any advertising—whether print, digital, or promotional content—from commercial institutions, companies, or any third-party organization. This policy ensures that all content published in the journal is free from commercial influence and is evaluated solely based on academic merit, scientific credibility, and relevance to the journal's subject area. The absence of advertising also contributes to the transparency and trustworthiness of the research published in this journal. By maintaining this clear policy, the journal upholds the highest standards of scientific publishing and preserves the trust of its authors, readers, and the broader scientific community.
