Article acceptance conditions (authors' guide)

 

Bi Quarterly of Philosophy of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities, University of Tehran, is a scientific (scientific-research) publication in the field of philosophical studies, the conditions for accepting articles in it are as follows:

General features of the article
The article should be the result of the research of the author(s).
The article must not have been published in another journal, and it must not be sent to another journal until the review is completed.
The publication of the article is subject to the final approval of the editorial board.
The certificate of acceptance of the article will be sent to the author's personal page in the system after the approval of the jury.
The author is responsible for the contents of the article.
The editor of the magazine is free in literary and technical editing of the article without changing its content.
The length of the article (except for the English abstract and translation of Persian sources) should not exceed 8000 words.
The full name of the author/authors, academic rank, department, faculty and university where he/she is teaching or studying, field of study, university email, author's phone number should be entered in the system and attached on a separate page.
It is possible to submit an article only through the system of Tehran University Persian Literature Magazine at the address https://jop.ut.ac.ir (for this, you must first register in the system through the option "login to the system").
Important note: the order of the authors and the inclusion of the responsible author will be based on exactly what the responsible author has completed in the system form at the time of submitting the article and what the authors have acknowledged in the commitment letter form; Therefore, it is essential to arrange the authors and select the responsible author before submitting the article, and doctoral students who need the article for their defense must check this issue with their university; Because it is not possible to change the position and order of the authors after the acceptance certificate is issued.

After completing and signing, the commitment form should be attached with the main file of the article, the matched file, and the authors' profile file.
Components of the article
Title: The general name of the article that is descriptive and expresses the content of the article.
Author's profile: including the author's name and surname, academic rank, department and field of study, faculty and university where he/she teaches or studies.
English abstract: in Times New Roman font size 9, it should be extended (not less than 450 words and not more than 750 words). Also, this abstract should be structured and include the goal, research method, findings, and conclusion sections, each of which should be written in a separate line or paragraph.
Persian abstract: a comprehensive description of the article with limited words (between 200 and 250 words) including a general picture of the statement of the problem, purpose, research method and findings.
Keywords: include five to seven specialized words that must be mentioned in the abstract text and their importance in the article is more than other words.
Introduction: including statement of the problem, purpose and background, questions and research hypotheses and... the article (briefly).
Main body: including the main text of the article, theoretical foundations, discussion and analysis, content divisions.
Result: including the logical and useful results of the research that the author has achieved in the article.
Sources: List of article references based on the style of the journal.
Persian sources should be translated into English at the end of the article according to the example given at the end and it should be noted at the end of each item (In Persian).
How to set the text
The article should be written on A4 page, in B. Mitra font and size 13 with 1 line spacing in the word processor environment. Also, the distance should be 4.5 cm from the top and 3.5 cm from the bottom of the page and 4.5 cm from the right and left.
Abstract, key words, sources, references in parentheses, poems and any material that comes in parentheses should be written in Persian with size 11 and in English with size 10.
At the beginning of each paragraph, start with a half-centimeter indentation; Of course, the first line under each title should not be indented.
Independent direct quotations from the text of more than three lines, separate from the main text and with one centimeter indentation on each side and with the same font, but with size 11. Such quotations, which are written separately, are not placed in quotation marks.
The sections of the article begin with section 1, which is dedicated to the introduction. The title of each main section and sub-sections should be separated by a white line and written in black (bold).
Subsections of each article should not exceed three layers; Example: 3-1-4. which represents the following part of the third part of the article.
Except for proper nouns and the names of grammar principles, all other Latin footnotes should begin with a lowercase letter.
Continuous explanations of the text as well as the English form of nouns and the Latin equivalent of words should be included in the footer of each page.
If unfamiliar abbreviations are used, their list should be mentioned in the footnote before the first use.
If the author or authors have used the financial resources of certain organizations or institutions in the preparation of the article, this should be mentioned in the footnote of the page related to the Persian abstract.
Draw, Table and Equation tools should be used in the Word environment to prepare tree diagrams and the like so that there is no problem in setting them up in the final version.
All examples, diagrams and pictures must be numbered consecutively.
Doulus Sil IPA font should be used for transcription of data related to an unfamiliar language or dialect.
 

How to refer to sources
1-4. In-text reference

Last name of the author or famous name, publication date of the work: cover/page or pages. There is no need to write "p" for page numbers. Also, numbers should be written from right to left; Example: (Malasadra, 1366: 4/98-100)
If several works of the same author are referred to in the text, each of those works will be separated based on the difference in publication date and will be identified by the name of the work in the end references.
