Abstract

The topic of teaching and learning, and education can be studied from different perspectives. In this article, we want to look at it from the perspective of the student’s perfection and see how the relationship between teaching and learning relates to the student’s perfections. In other words, we want to consider the student as a “seed” and see which teacher, and which form of teaching, can cause the student, like a seed scattered in the soil, to be in a state of blossoming, growth, verdancy, and fruitfulness; and which form of education causes the student to be removed from the state of blossoming and growth and to enter a state of “burnt seed.” For this purpose, we can turn our attention to a subtle point that has been considered in some religious texts, and that is that in the process of teaching, a form of servitude is realized. That is, if we learn something from someone, we have entered into a relationship of servitude with them. Reflecting on this relationship can open new horizons for us.” For this purpose, we can turn our attention to a subtle point that has been considered in some religious texts, and that is that in the process of teaching, a form of servitude is realized.
