چکیده

هدف اصلی این نوشته آن است که نشان دهد اولا پراگماتیسم بر اصولی استوار است که ملازم اومانیسم هستند ولذا پراگماتیسم در اصل یک مکتب اومانیستی است و ثانیا دستاورد آشکاری که در سطح فرهنگ و جامعه امریکایی عرضه داشته ست موجب رشد طیف وسیعی از اومانیست ها در امریکا شده است که به اومانیسم جدید یا اومانیسم علمی یا طبیعت گرایی اومانیستی قائل هستند.
بدین منظور نخصت پراگماتیسم را معرفی می کنیم و سپس اومانیسم را تعریف می نماییم و آنگاه رابطه آن دو را با هم یک بار از طریق بررسی اصول پراگماتیسم و بار دیگر از طریق رابطه اومانیسم جدید امریکایی با آن به بحث می نهیم.

The main objective of this article is to show, firstly, that pragmatism is built on some doctrines that are associated with Humanism, and in being so, it is in principle a Humanistic school, and that its evident achievement on the social and cultura levels in America has led to the development of a wide range of humanists who believe in modern humanism, which is also known as scientific humanism, or in humanistic naturalism. The article opens with an introduction to pragmatism and
humanism, and then proceeds to discuss their ralation through an enquiry both into the doctrines of pragmatism and its relation to the modern American humanism.
